The New Edition Of “The Thursday Of Design” To Designlibrary

After the success yielded by the two previous edition, DesignLibrary tonight inaugurates a new cycle of events dedicated to the design. “The Thursday of Design” are informal evenings where the major international designers recount their experiences and where their style and creative spirit are confronted with the productive capacity of enterprises, research and the market, to create innovative product design.

The first appointment of the new season opens tonight at 21 with Michel Bouquillon (Belgian architect and designer) and Marco Serralunga (Amm.Delegato of Serralunga) presenting “Designing a chair in plastic” to the cycle of The Factory design.

Nemo Cassina introduced the collection of lamps

Nemo, a division lights Cassina SpA, has just presented the new design collection called “The Masters” and dedicated to editions of lamps designed by major international creative design. Five lamps signed by Franco Albini, one of the most important Italian architects of the’900 eclectic personality and able to extend its deliberations and its work planning and also to industrial design. Besides Commode Louis XV, genuine work of art produced by a former French cabinet-maker, have exposed two other very special creations: a Aurevilly Sofa Canape of one of the most celebrated pieces of the fifteenth century, hand-carved and upholstered by a master upholsterer who interprets various coatings, including the prized French cotton velvet and rich damask silk.

Reproduced faithfully to the present day, this “article from rest” preserves the allure of time thanks to the skillful art of coating. And then there’s the charming Mirror Directoire born from mergers bronze faithfully reproduced from the original.
