Mimosa & Star Cactus, new light sculptures of Elin Isakssson 100% Design

Mimosa and Star Cactus are two new sculptures luminous glass at 100% Design in London, the Swedish designer Galss Elin Isakssson. The Mimosa wall lamp consists of 16 elements of 65 cm green colored glass of different shades, while a suspension Star Cactus by 34 points distributed on a spherical surface. The beautiful handmade crafts, inspired by the grace and elegance with nature, with their sinuous design and create the lively play of lights impressive, enabling him to furnish each room with inspiration and originality.

Fragile Future of Design at Tokyo Drift Design Week

The lamp Mirage Lorenzo Longo for Troconi

It’s called Mirage, the new table lamp designed by Lorenzo Longo, the company Tronconi returned for Christmas 2008. Lorenzo Longo, the study of Design De-Signum, founded along with colleague Alexei Romano, he thought a Mirage as an optical illusion, a hologram that shows the archetype of a table lamp. The metal structure is lacquered with an earlier speaker that creates the effect oleografico, while the rear opalized spreading a more intense light, powered with 2 x 6W T5 fluorescent. Available in variations of white, black and purple, the lamp measure 24.5 x 12.5 x 28 cm and offers a perfect complement furniture to light and decorate every room.

The geometrical structure of hives and the brightness of Swarovski crystals, characterizing the lamp suspension Beehouse, designed by the young Russian designer Yar Rassadin. Proposal to contest Cristal Vision, sponsored by designboom and from Swarovsky, the lamp manufacturer looking for is a mix of white plastic and folded yellow Swarovski crystals, which will replace honey, filling small hexagonal structures that characterize the structure. The irregular edges along the top and bottom of the lamp complete the effect, evoking the smallest details the striking architecture of hives.
