Prop lamp is the new table lamp designed and produced by Steve Watson, using individual sheets of acrylic material laser-cut, which minimizes the amount of waste produced. Eco-sustainability is the laitmotiv of LightenUP, an event proposed by [re] design and presented at 100% Design 2008 in London. Together with a series of installations, seminars and workshops on saving energy and the production cycle lighting, Lighten Up presented innovative, interesting and sustainable course, like Spore light of John Wischhusen. The pendant lamp with a diameter of 650mm, is characterized by 72 elements aluminum glass, worked as spores which hatch leaving out the light.

The sustainability of this project is guaranteed by the ease with which each element can be taken apart to be retrieved and especially the choice of material, as the aluminum can be recycled indefinitely, with a minimum use of energy.
