We admired in Milan, recently, the gallery Rossana Orlandi and will be in a few days in Shanghai, at the gallery Contrasts with a special project: trying contamination between the daily life of Chinese people and culture of European design.

The young Scottish designer Scott Jarvie presented at the Salone del Mobile 08 his new collection of chairs, very different from each other but linked by a desire to achieve design with eco-compatible procedures can minimize the waste of material. Sittings estrose and challenging as the respondent and color Funnel Chair, who was born in a single block of two chairs, then cut to reduce the waste material.

Wire Chair is made with two sections of continuous tubular metal, teamed up to provide a structure and design the perfect chair for exteriors and interiors, while the ironic Clutch Chair is made up of 10,000 colored straws. One Cut Chair consists of a single layer of plywood cut using a technique that uses pressure water jet. New sessions due to techniques that provide a more economical use of materials and reduce the amount of energy required to manufacture.

Robby and Francesca Cantarutti have designed a new seat design prismatic, light and suggestive as that of a precious stone, submitted to the NeoCon World’s Trade Fair 2008. Brilliant, made by JDS transparent polycarbonate, is bright and multi-faceted like a gem and colored versions, red ruby, sapphire blue, gold topaz and transparent diamond.

A jewel Session, viable even nylon opaque white or black, with bases finished in chrome or epoxy. Brilliant is available in several models, with the basic standard accatastabile four legs, with two legs lateral joint, with the wheels for those who prefer dynamic and scattante. If fear that the aesthetic penalises comfort, a manufacturer JDS ensure the comfort and convenience of each model.
