The South African designer Ryan Frank works and lives in London but plans eco sustainable design that draws inspiration from its culture of origin. A good example of her style is represented by the new project Isabella. Inspired by the design of traditional African artefacts carved by hand, Isabella is a small stool made of compressed straw covered with colored felt in order to make more comfortable and lively during the proceedings.

The Translation Arm chair designed by Alain Gilles for Qui-east-Paul, presented at the Salone del Mobile 08, is now being proposed in a limited edition of 100 pieces, made with the caps of bottles collected by non-profit Les Bouchons d ‘Amour, which devotes 100% of its revenues to the purchase of equipment for disabled people in France and abroad.

Portananos is an interesting project developed by the Spanish product designer Marc Sapetti. It is a cradle for children up to six months you can easily assemble and disassemble because formed by cardboard plates intersected with each other.

The material is obviously ultra strong, sustainable and eco very colorful in order to create a cradle from original and vivid hues. And Portananos move will be a snap: just because the cradle disassemble and store the individual elements in practice bag that came.

Eric Benque is an industrial designer known for his design style that is cutting art and craft an approach regarding the production of the elements.

Lately its collection of wooden additions called planches was even exhibited at the Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin in Paris, precisely because it represents a good balance between creativity, quality and naturalness of the materials used and aesthetically pleasing result.

Planches proposes a series of additions such as chairs, chaise longue, tables, bookcases, in which symmetrical forms are reached through the intersection of planks of wood and bamboo coatings (such as the chaise longue) are made of soft and natural wool . Reported as the youngest brand selected by the Designer’s Days 2008, SAAZS won the Prix Paris - Innovation thanks to new creations Lightpieces, admire the Furniture Show 2008 by installing Light Prose and characterized by elegant design and contemporary moved by principles of eco-compatibility.

Starting from the series “standard of lamps designed by Tomas Erel, the sophisticated and charming Flaq, Lightbird that can be used as table and Wallover that can be used as a lens in every way that suggests your creativity, enriched by a ‘Limited edition, produced by the research centre experimentation and development SAAZS Institute by Christian Biecher with Nature versus technology, Adrien Gardère with Balafon and Arik Levy Flying with Tron or DOTS. Technological innovation introduced by the lamps lies in the Planilum, the first “glass activated to conduct light, which was developed by SAAZS in collaboration with Saint-Gobain Innovations.

Having essentially glass lamps are recyclable to 90%, producing a light relaxing that eliminates the need for a lampshade, using non-toxic gas and the average life of a plate is 50,000 hours, equivalent to about 20 years of household use.
