The young graphic designer Matt Burvill has created a wonderful series of images related to a project called “Grafik + Channel 4″, prepared for a competition. The request was to take a common object and transform it to your liking, in this case the designer has used chairs foderate, has carved on them the forms of animals and nature and then documented everything with photographs.

The “figurines” come to life inside and outside of the object, to recreate the compositions clean and pleasant. The simplicity of the concept makes this small graphic design worthy of note. The result of these photographs were carrying out various posters.

Julien De Smedt Architects have submitted on their blogs the new designer modular shelving system designed for Brand Danish Muuto. Structured with the aim to be specific and general, the designer system is composed of rectangular shelves of different sizes, held together by clips enabling him to combine them according to specific needs and requests. The shelves of small size 218 x 436 x 350 mm, average 436 x 436 x 350 mm and large 654 x 436 x 350 mm (great) are made of MDF painted in white and yellow.

In an era that thrives on insecurity and uncertainty Boaz Cohen and Sayaka Yamamoto of BCXSY design with the project Forever, have decided to focus their attention on what it means’ last forever. With Nature Distilled the creative duo has designed a series of vases for dried flowers that do not need water to continue to exist.

A thin frame wire mesh rubberized hand, becomes the design for incorniciale flowers that do not renounce their beauty because appassiscono or lose freshness and vitality, but rather buy another office of a sense poetic and suggestive. Maybe nothing lasts forever, but it is a concept so complex that can lead to interesting ideas, such as those produced by Forever of BCXSY, even if you do not like their projects midway between design and art of provocation.

The Studio of Design South African Tsai, whose Bunk Beds has received the Red Hot Design Award and was voted as Most Beautiful Object at Design Indaba Expo 2008, has used the sensitivity to the economy of space that marks his work, to design the coffee table ZigZag.

Product handcrafted in Study of Cape Town, in a limited, numbered, signed by the designer and provided with certificate of authenticity, ZigZag combines an intelligent use of space with an aesthetic sensibility array Eastern Europe. The design of the table, all angles and indentations, presents itself as a practical solution and evocative to accommodate all kinds of purpose.

Its structure, 40 x 115 cm x65 with a lost of 45 kg, is made of fibre board, reinforced by three layers of oil and painted with bright colors in red, green or white. An object modern taste old, available exclusively on 66 degrees.

Submitted preview at Frankfurt international exhibition & Light Building 2008, Katana is a classical Japanese sword which is inspired by the new floor lamp designed by V12 Design and Arkispazio for The Three, a brand of Signatures Glass. The essential design and elegant the floor, is characterised by a carbon fibre lightweight and durable, which measures 230 x 255 cm.

The two elements that constitute, decisive and dynamic as coups sword, eclectic and make it functional. The upper arm direzionabile thanks to a joint articulated, allows him to illuminate very large spaces, adapting to balance complex. The new series of tables Amazons, appreciated in the 2008 editions of the Stockholm Furniture Fair and ‘ICFF in New York, originated the desire of the designer Eero Koivisto and the Swedish OFFECCT, to achieve an object of design eco-compatible. The structure of the tables, with two plans support lacquered steel recyclable, 100%, is based on layered and dense vegetation of the rainforest.

E ’sold in groups of three tables of varying degrees, lacquered in three different shades of green, thanks to the surface shaped shaped fronds tree, can also be united almost flange, to implement the functionality and impact emotional. Part of proceeds from the sale, is devolved to support the Children’s Rain forest, a Swedish environmental non-profit, which since 1987 is responsible for the preservation of rain forests of Central America.
