Ribbon is the candelabrum of Japanese designer Shin Azumi designed to brand English Innermost, after having appeared as a prototype at the Salone del Mobile in Milan 08, entered into production and will be launched at 100% Design in London this September. The structure sinuous and elegant ribbon of polished stainless steel that characterizes Ribbon, has a diameter of 297mm x 181mm high and obtained by leaching steel melted wax into molds that let you have no wasted material.

In an era that thrives on insecurity and uncertainty Boaz Cohen and Sayaka Yamamoto of BCXSY design with the project Forever, have decided to focus their attention on what it means’ last forever. With Nature Distilled the creative duo has designed a series of vases for dried flowers that do not need water to continue to exist.

A thin frame wire mesh rubberized hand, becomes the design for incorniciale flowers that do not renounce their beauty because appassiscono or lose freshness and vitality, but rather buy another office of a sense poetic and suggestive. Maybe nothing lasts forever, but it is a concept so complex that can lead to interesting ideas, such as those produced by Forever of BCXSY, even if you do not like their projects midway between design and art of provocation.

Reported as the youngest brand selected by the Designer’s Days 2008, SAAZS won the Prix Paris - Innovation thanks to new creations Lightpieces, admire the Furniture Show 2008 by installing Light Prose and characterized by elegant design and contemporary moved by principles of eco-compatibility.

Starting from the series “standard of lamps designed by Tomas Erel, the sophisticated and charming Flaq, Lightbird that can be used as table and Wallover that can be used as a lens in every way that suggests your creativity, enriched by a ‘Limited edition, produced by the research centre experimentation and development SAAZS Institute by Christian Biecher with Nature versus technology, Adrien Gardère with Balafon and Arik Levy Flying with Tron or DOTS. Submitted preview at Frankfurt international exhibition & Light Building 2008, Katana is a classical Japanese sword which is inspired by the new floor lamp designed by V12 Design and Arkispazio for The Three, a brand of Signatures Glass. The essential design and elegant the floor, is characterised by a carbon fibre lightweight and durable, which measures 230 x 255 cm.

The two elements that constitute, decisive and dynamic as coups sword, eclectic and make it functional. The upper arm direzionabile thanks to a joint articulated, allows him to illuminate very large spaces, adapting to balance complex. A lamp that reconciles the eastern suggestions with the Made in Italy appreciated worldwide.

Dominic Harris of Cinimod Studio in collaboration with Pablo Uri be of Studio Uri be, have designed the interior design of the new store frozen yogurt SNOG opened in London. To create the ‘atmosphere of a summer without end, have designed the floor to simulate the mantle grassy and covered the walls of vinyl prints, flowered throughout the year.

The brightness and variability of the summer sky, is produced by 3,000 LED lamps, installed behind the ceiling of translucent plastic, whose intensity is adjustable better weather patterns. Graphics and brand were treated by the ICO Design for harmonizing the heat interior design, restaurateur with the freshness of the product sold.

After graduating and different experiences in the world of work, young British product designer James Lawrence, Michael Leung, Joie de Winter and Andy Ward have decided to join forces and resources in the collective Out of Office, a brand that transforms ideas, concepts, icons and daily needs in design objects from multiple functions.

The Musical Combs of Joie de Winter, are not simple but combs musical instruments can brighten the day. The Decal Tattoos Andy Ward tattoos are removable to use as a surface to take notes, One20 James Lawrence append a whole rotating and 2nd Pillow Case of Michael Lung knows to be shirt and federations for a cushion. These are just some of the projects that the collective Out of Office perform in the small gallery in London Canary Wharf Gallery, from June 29 to July 30.

After designed in 2006, the scenic waterfall drops of crystal lamp Ether to Murano Two, brand Signatures Glass, the French designer Patrick Jouin, has created for the 2008 collection, the new lamp Mercure. The desire to create a stimulating dialogue between design and food culture, inspired Italian company Fratelli Guzzini the research project Foodesign. A path full of events and exhibitions, which since 2004 has enriched the relationship between form and function of the food, going so far up to Japan.

In 2008, after previewing the Frankfurt Messe Frankfurt Environment and the official launch at the Milan Triennale during the Salone del Mobile, the exhibition Multiple Food Foodesign Guzzini Made in Japan - A new relationship between food experts and designers reached the fair Ambiente Japan Interior Lifestyle in Tokyo.

Protagonists of the events were the projects of Japanese designers, struggling with trials symbolic rituals related to food interprets Japanese food as a fine ceremony daily. Projects designed to explore the potential of food design inspired by the gastronomic culture eastern Europe, as those proposed by Setsu and Shinobu Ito, two Japanese designers working in Italy for many years and who coordinated the work of other participants, in addition to proposals for the great masters like Sori Yanagi.
